£3,000
An LB&SCR Tyers two-position block instrument mounted on its original backboard, with block gong and plunger, used at Hever until the abolition of semaphore signalling on 8th June 1990 and purchased from Collectors Corner at Euston. It is believed to have been installed in the first box in 1888 and moved to the new box on the down platform in 1929. The instrument has a series one face, the labels are with black lettering with yellow/gold shading, an early style backboard, non bordered, modified at the top to fit around a joist, a brass plate OXTED latterly fitted replacing those for Edenbridge and later Hurst Green Junction. A fine example in original condition. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
