A nameplate, SIR CHARLES WHEATSTONE BRT, from a BR Class 20 diesel electric D8187 built by English Electric/Vulcan Foundry, Works Nos 3668/D1063 and allocated new to LM-Nottingham Division in January 1967. Renumbered 20187 in March 1974 and 20308 in February 1998. It was named between May 1994 and July 1997 after a pioneer of telecommunications. Currently stored by DRS awaiting disposal. Cast aluminium, 35¼"x30½", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: N/A)
