A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 1931, GATESHEAD, 1897, from a NER J24 Class 0-6-0 No 1931, renumbered 5626 in 1946 and withdrawn in December 1948 from Newport without being given a BR number. It was then sold in March 1949 to NCB Bolden Colliery, transferred to Whitburn Colliery in 1956 and broken up in July of that year. Cast iron, 9"x5", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: C)
