A smokebox numberplate, 42256, from a LMS Class 4 2-6-4T built at Derby in 1946. It spent its early years at Plaistow, moving to Neasden when that shed came under the LM Region in 1958, before finishing its days at Gorton from where it was withdrawn in June 1964 and sold for scrap to Central Wagon Co at Ince, Wigan.
