A worksplate, YORKSHIRE ENGINE Co, 2224, 1928, from a LNER N2 Class 0-6-2T No 2686 which was renumbered 9592 in 1946, becoming BR 69592. Allocated to Kings Cross from 1934 until withdrawal in September 1961, it was cut up at Doncaster Works. Cast brass, 11"x6", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
