A locomotive nameplate, SIR FRANCIS DRAKE, with LORD NELSON CLASS appendage below from a Southern Railway LN Maunsell Class 4-6-0 No 851 built at Eastleigh in May 1928, the second of the class named after the Elizabethan admiral who circumnavigated the globe. It became BR 30851 and spent almost all its BR days at Eastleigh from where it was withdrawn in December 1961 and cut up at Eastleigh Works. In ex loco condition as received by the late vendor from the railways. Cast brass, length 53¼".
