A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 25395, 1945, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built to Ministry of Supply order in February 1945, WD No 78540. Loaned to the LNER in March 1946 and purchased by them in 1947 becoming their class 07 No 3099 and BR 63099, later 90099. Its early BR sheds were Heaton and York but it spent most of its days at Hull Dairycoates with a final two years at Goole from where it was withdrawn in June 1967 and sold for scrap to Drapers at Hull. Cast white brass, 13½"x5½", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
