A tenderplate, LMS, 9816, 1946, together with its 4000 gallon plate, from the tender allocated new to LMS Princess Coronation Class 8P 4-6-2 No 6253 CITY OF St ALBANS built at Crewe in 1946, becoming BR 46253. It spent its later years at Camden and Crewe North from where it was withdrawn in January 1963 and cut up at Crewe Works the following May. The tenderplate cast iron, 8"x6", the front repainted, the Water Capacity plate cast brass, 10½"x6", the front repainted. (2) (Postage Band: C)
