A worksplate, ANDREW BARCLAY, 2099, 1942, from a 3'6" gauge 0-8-0 Fireless delivered during WW2 to ESCOM's Congella Power Station but requisitioned by South Africa's Defence Dept. After WW2 it was transferred to Umgeni Power Station in Natal. It was allocated for preservation in 1990 but may not now survive. Cast brass, 17"x11¾", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
