A locomotive headboard, THE ROYAL HIGHLANDER, carried on a Euston to Inverness sleeping car service. The title was introduced by the LMS in 1927, withdrawn during the war and re-introduced in June 1957 with this style of headboard. Its last titled run was on 12 May 1985.
