A Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway bridgeplate, 199, reputedly from the five arch Stour Viaduct south of Blandford Forum. There are some discrepancies with the records of S&DJR bridge numbers, where numbers are one or two out (Spetisbury Station noted), but this plate was, however, removed by a local railwayman after closure and a written provenance is included covering the location of this plate and other S&DJR items in the sale. Cast iron, 17"x7¼", original condition. (Postage Band: C)
