A locomotive nameplate, BRENTOR and its WEST COUNTRY CLASS scroll from (SR) Bulleid light pacific 4-6-2 No 34095 built at Brighton in 1949 and rebuilt in 1960 without its original air-smoothed casing. Allocated new to Bournemouth and later Nine Elms and Eastleigh from where it was withdrawn in July 1967 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Newport. Cast brass, the nameplate length 55", the scroll length 30¼", the fronts repainted. The locomotive never carried a badge as it was named after a geographical feature and not a town or district. STEAM NAMEPLATE SPECIAL: Buy a main line steam nameplate and we can deliver it to you promptly, free of charge. This offer applies to addresses in England, Scotland and Wales. Should you be successful in purchasing this lot, we are happy to accept items against nameplates purchased. Please phone the office to discuss.
