A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE CO, 26075, 1948, from a 3ft 6ins gauge South African Railways Class 19D 4-8-2 No 3355, one of the last batch of fifty of this large and successful Class built by NBL in 1948. The Class was used extensively throughout the SAR system and was one of the last steam classes to see regular service there. Cast brass, 13¾"x5½", the front cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: B)
