A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 2682, 1924, from a LNER D11/2 Class 4-4-0 No 6389 built by Kitson, Works No 5390, entering traffic in October 1924 and named HAYSTOUN OF BUCKLAW after a character in Sir Walter Scott's novel The Bride of Lammermoor. Renumbered 2682 in 1946, it became BR 62682 and was shedded at Eastfield from 1931 until withdrawal in July 1961 and cutting up at Inverurie Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front lightly cleaned.
