A worksplate, MANNING WARDLE, LEEDS, ENGLAND, 1822, 1913, from a 5ft 6ins gauge 0-6-0ST, one of seven ordered by the contractor C.H. Walker for use on the Buenos Aires Harbour Works, running number BAHW No 125. Later exported to Spain where it was used by the Anglo-Spanish construction company in the construction of the FC de Santader a Mediterraneo line. It later passed into industrial use in Spain and was subsequently preserved by the San Fernando de Cadiz at Paseo General Lobo. This is the MW Export style plate including the word ENGLAND, rarer then the usual MW plate. Cast brass, 11"x6¼", the front cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: B)
