A locomotive nameplate, GREAT BRITAIN, from a BR Class 47 No D1952 built by Brush Traction, Works No 614, in October 1966 and renumbered 47508 in February 1974. Named at Old Oak Common depot on 15 March 1979, the plates were removed in July 1985 and replaced by those reading S.S. GREAT BRITAIN. Allocated new to London Midland Western Lines, it was withdrawn from Bristol Bath Road in May 1993 and cut up there by M.R.J. Phillips in November 1995. Cast aluminium, length 51½", ex loco condition. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
