A smokebox numberplate, 73146, from a BR Standard Class 5 4-6-0 built at Derby and allocated new to St Rollox in February 1957, one of the Class fitted with the distinctive Caprotti valve gear. It moved in January 1966 to Eastfield and later the same year to Motherwell from where it was withdrawn in May 1967 and sold for scrap to G.H. Campbell at Airdrie. Repainted, though paint loss at the right end. (Postage Band: D)
