An illuminated address to Robert Stanley Mansel, Secretary and General Manager of the North London and North and South Western Junction Railways, 1877, hand painted with gilt decoration, 18"x23". Together with two scrolls bearing extracts from the minutes of meetings of the NLR and N&SWJR wherein the companies present the sums of £1500 and £500 respectively to Mr Mansel, each 14"x17¾". The three are rolled and in superb condition, contained within a leather-covered casket with gilt title and decoration, PRESENTED TO ROBERT STANLEY MANSEL ESQRE BY THE OFFICERS AND SERVANTS OF THE NORTH LONDON AND NORTH AND SOUTH WESTERN JUNCTION RAILWAYS, SEPTEMBER 1877, 19¼"x4¼", some wear to the leather, clasp and key absent, the decorative escutcheon present.
