A GCR serving plate by Walker and Hall, the rim bears the full coat of arms and opposite a scroll, DEWSBURY, one of the GCR paddle steamers, built by Earles of Hull in 1910 at the time of the celebrations of the opening of Immingham Docks. She had a capacity of one hundred first class passengers and worked on the route to Rotterdam. Silver plate, 16"x12", with clear, crisp engravings, a few minor marks to the plate. (Postage Band: C)
