A smokebox numberplate 68654 from a Great Eastern Railway Class C72 0-6-0T No 28 built at Stratford in January 1914. It became LNER J68 Class No 7028 and was renumbered 8654 in January 1947, becoming BR 68654. Allocated to March by January 1948 and later Stratford, Hitchin and Doncaster from where it was withdrawn on 11 March 1960 and cut up at Stratford Works. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
