A 3½" gauge LMS 8F coal fired live steam locomotive and tender. A substantial and well built loco and tender, twin cylinders, probably a silver soldered copper boiler - but no details survive. Loco and tender built of excellent gauge materials throughout with wheels, connecting rods and valve gear well made and free moving, although all a little stiff as obviously not run for some time. Back head controls etc a little tight but ok, reversing gear operates, cab roof does not remove for driving, but the tender front bulkhead plate does come out for driving access. Tender with hand feed water pump a good coal space, wheels move relatively freely, dual brake handles need attention. Loco and tender have a wealth of the usual required details and needs some work to bring up to a working item, or less for a very nice displayable item of good proportions.
