A Lancashire Union Railway company seal. The company was authorised in 1864 and ran from Blackburn to St Helens. It was vested jointly between the LNWR and the LYR in 1883. Copper, 2" diameter on brass mount 3"x2". The seal would have been used on share certificates and other documents. (Postage Band: A)
