A worksplate, ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH, 986, 1928, from a GWR 5600 Class 0-6-2T No 6698, the penultimate member of the class built in October 1928. It spent its BR days at Croes Newydd and Shrewsbury with a brief spell at Stourbridge. Withdrawn from Croes Newydd in March 1963, it was sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge. Cast brass, 8¼"x5", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
