A worksplate, PECKETT & SONS, 597, 1895, from a Peckett Type R1 0-4-0ST new to William Lounds, Colliery Contractor at Cannock Lodge Colliery, then to Walsall Corporation Gas Department at Pleck Works in December 1896. It became part of the West Midlands Gas Board on 1 May 1959 and of the British Gas Corporation, West Midland Region on 31 December 1972 and was scrapped by Cashmores at Great Bridge in about May 1970. Engraved brass, 10¾"x7½", the front lightly cleaned. (Postage Band: B)
