Worksplate, LMS BUILT 1946, HORWICH. Locos built that year were Class 5 4-6-0 (4)4944-66 and (4)4982-90. Cast iron, 10¼"x6", the ends detached, plate and ends riveted to a steel backplate, the front repainted.
