A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 61665, BUILT 1936, from a LNER B17 Class 4-6-0 No 2865 built by Robert Stephenson & Co, Works No 4127, in January 1937 and named LEICESTER CITY, renumbered 1665 in 1946, becoming BR 61665. In BR days its sheds alternated between Norwich and Yarmouth from where it was withdrawn in April 1959 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", the BR number displayed on a separate brass strip, the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
