A Cheshire Lines Railway signal box diagram, HUSKISSON GOODS YARD, DEC 1892, showing the line from Walton On The Hill, the warehouse sidings, tunnel, Sandhills Lane bridge and turntable, framed, 64"x19". The goods yard suffered catastrophic damage on 4th May 1941 during an air raid. The munitions ship MALAKAND, loaded with 1500 tons of H.E. bombs was hit and on exploding destroyed much of the surrounding area including the yard, which remained inoperable for the remainder of the war. A local cooper (barrel maker) rescued the diagram which has some defects in places and marks to the surface. An amazing survivor. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
