A worksplate, BUILT 1960, SWINDON. Locomotives built at Swindon in 1960 were three BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 Nos 92218-20 and in excess of fifty BR Class O3 0-6-0 diesel shunters numbered in the D21XX series, so this plate is most likely to be from one of those diesel shunters. Cast iron, 10½"x6", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
